Cornell Cautions: Dangerous Campus Gorge Swimming Conditions

Cornell University in Ithaca reported that the university’s two on-campus gorges offer recreational appeal and serve as meeting places for the community. University officials have warned that strong currents and underwater rock ledges make swimming in the gorges particularly dangerous. Visitors are advised to exercise caution when near or in the water.
