Cornell Report Sets Winter Rules for Garden Visitors.

Cornell University in Ithaca has issued a report on conditions at the Cornell Botanic Gardens. The report notes that autumn has turned to winter as the woods fill up with snow, offering a scenic view for visitors.

At the Cascadilla Gorge Natural Area, several uses are prohibited. Visitors are not allowed to swim, consume alcohol, cycle, or fish. For visitor safety and to protect the natural setting, guidelines include keeping dogs on a leash, cleaning up after pets, carrying a water bottle, and using only the lighted trails after dark. Additionally, visitors should be aware that the trails do not receive winter maintenance and that a permit is required for collecting items or conducting research.
