Winter Storm Watch Issued Across Northeastern Pennsylvania

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Tuesday for Lackawanna County and surrounding areas, according to reports from Scranton, Pennsylvania. A low pressure system moving off the east coast is expected to bring accumulating snow across the region. Forecast snowfall amounts may change based on the speed and track of the system.

Additional information from a November 30th briefing states that widespread plowable snowfall is forecast, marking the season's first accumulating snowfall event. The Winter Storm Watch also covers portions of the Southern Tier, the Catskills, and Northeastern Pennsylvania. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect in Northern Oneida County until Monday morning due to ongoing lake effect snow.

National Weather Service offices, including in Binghamton, New York, continue to monitor the situation and update forecasts as necessary.
