BCPL Holds Raffle to Boost Library Sign-Ups

The Broome County Public Library in Binghamton, NY is celebrating September as Library Card Sign-up Month with an annual raffle. If patrons sign up for a new library card or renew an existing card in person during the month, they will be entered into a free raffle.

For adults 13 and older, the prizes include an Amazon Kindle for first place, a BCPL tote bag with BCPL swag for second place, and a BCPL tote bag for third place. For children aged 12 and under, first place is a scooter, second place is a BCPL tote bag with a Baby Mr. Paws stuffed animal and more, and third place is a BCPL tote bag.

The raffle is part of the library’s effort to encourage community members to access thousands of books, movies, digital resources, and other library offerings. Interested individuals can visit the library in person to sign up or renew their card and automatically be entered into the raffle.
