Binghamton Kicks Off Holiday Season with Tree Lighting

Staff Report / Binghamtonlocal.org

Binghamton, New York – The holiday season officially kicked off in Binghamton with a tree lighting ceremony last night, which drew a crowd despite the cold weather. The tree will remain lit through the end of the year, encouraging residents to visit and support local small businesses throughout December.

The event was organized with the help of several partners including title sponsor Greenlight Networks. Additional support came from WBNG 12 News, the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce, Tri-Cities Opera, Sunny Hill Tree Farm, Illuminations Holiday Lighting, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, the Binghamton Black Bears, and various downtown businesses.
