Quebec Street Closure for Safety Improvement Project
Staff Report /
**Road Closure Planned for Quebec Street Improvement Project in Denver**
Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) has initiated a planned road closure on Quebec Street to enhance safety, comfort, and access for residents. The Quebec Street Mobility and Pedestrian Safety Improvement Project aims to add sidewalks between 12th Avenue and Montview Boulevard, fill gaps in the sidewalk network, and upgrade traffic signals at Quebec and 17th Avenue.
The closures will take place in 2-3 block segments on weekdays, from Monday through Friday, with the road reopening on weekends to ensure the safety of both construction crews and travelers.
**Closure Schedule:**
- December 2 to December 20: Quebec Street from 13th Avenue to Colfax Avenue
- January 2 to February 17: Quebec Street from Colfax Avenue to 17th Avenue
- February 18 to April 3: Quebec Street from 17th Avenue to Montview Avenue
During this period, traffic will be detoured via Monaco Street Parkway and Syracuse Street. Residents and travelers are advised to plan their routes accordingly.
