October is officially recognized as TeenTober™, a nationwide celebration created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). This event aims to celebrate teens and promote ongoing services catered to them in libraries throughout the year. TeenTober encourages innovative programs that help teens develop new skills and pursue their interests both in and out of library environments.

The Broome County Public Library in Binghamton, New York, is participating in TeenTober by highlighting a selection of popular teen reads. Some of the featured titles include "A Court of Thorns and Roses" by Sarah J. Maas, "On the Come Up" by Angie Thomas, and "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" by Suzanne Collins.

Teens can access a variety of e-books and e-audiobooks for free using the Libby App, available to those with a library card from BCPL or any of the libraries in the Four County Library System. To explore these teen reads, users can download the Libby App on their tablets or smartphones, or visit libbyapp.com.
