**Camp Cory Unveils Exciting Staff Highlights for Summer 2025**

Camp Cory in Penn Yan has officially announced some exciting updates to its Summer 2025 team lineup, featuring returning team members and a new hire ready to make waves this camp season. Here’s a quick look at the highlighted staff who will be leading the way for campers this summer:

**Robert Hong – Senior Counselor**

A familiar face at Camp Cory, Robert Hong is returning for his 9th summer as a Senior Counselor. Coming from Rochester, NY, Robert is currently a student at Binghamton University. He brings a wealth of experience, leadership skills, and enthusiasm to his role. Robert is also an avid skier and enjoys eating sushi, playing the viola, and dreaming up new travel adventures, such as a future trip to Europe. This summer, Robert hopes to add “learning how to do a backflip” to his personal goals.

**Lily Walsh – Junior Counselor**

Hailing from London, England, Lily Walsh is stepping into a new role this season as a Junior Counselor after five summers at Camp Cory. A high school senior, Lily previously served as a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) and is excited to take on more responsibilities this season. Lily loves swimming, making bracelets, and spending quality time with her friends and family. Camp Cory is looking forward to the energy and creativity she’ll bring to her new role.

**Eveni Rojas Vivanco – Support Staff**

New to Camp Cory this year is Eveni Rojas Vivanco from Mexico, joining as part of the camp’s Support Staff. Eveni is a university student who balances his studies with soccer and fitness. He brings enthusiasm and dedication to supporting the camp’s operations. Known for his speed-eating taco talents and impressive skill at tying intricate knots, Eveni is sure to make his mark during his first summer at camp.

Camp Cory staff members are looking forward to making this summer unforgettable for all campers. With Robert, Lily, and Eveni on board, there’s no doubt it will be another fantastic season full of fun, creativity, and unique experiences.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for NY, PA

A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 9 p.m. EDT for parts of New York and Pennsylvania, including Sullivan County, N.Y., and the northern Lackawanna, central Wayne, northwestern Pike and northeastern Wyoming counties in Pa., as a line of storms moving east at about 30 mph is capable of gusts to 60 mph and hail up to 0.75 inches.

Severe storms, flash flooding forecast for Lackawanna County

The National Weather Service warns that Lackawanna County, Pa., could see severe thunderstorms with damaging winds this afternoon and evening, brief heavy rain that could cause localized flash flooding, a rapid 20-25 degree temperature drop tonight raising the risk of a flash freeze, gusts of 35-45 mph (stronger in the Poconos), a line of strong to severe storms with isolated tornadoes possible, rivers and streams rising into Tuesday, and lake-effect snow likely by late Tuesday.

Olmsted Owls Advance to State Semifinals

The Olmsted Owls defeated the Windsor Knights 48-24 to move within one win of a state championship, and they will play in the NYSPHSAA semifinal in Binghamton on Thursday, March 19, at 2:30 p.m.
