**Binghamton Celebrates Women’s History Month with Support for Female-Owned Businesses**
Binghamton is marking Women's History Month by spotlighting and celebrating female-owned businesses throughout March. Local efforts have been centered on highlighting the contributions of women entrepreneurs to the community’s economic vitality.
In a recent event, the City’s Economic Development team shared a throwback photo commemorating their visit to Simply Apparel for the boutique’s Pink Friday event held before the holidays. The visit celebrated the efforts of owner Katie Kane, store manager Amy Dempsey, and Binghamton entrepreneur Amanda O’Neil, who were all featured in the image. These women are playing an integral role in boosting the city’s small business community.
As part of the ongoing recognition, residents are encouraged to tag and share their favorite female-owned businesses on social media, fostering further support and appreciation for women entrepreneurs in Binghamton.
