Lackawanna County is under a severe thunderstorm watch as strong to severe thunderstorms are forecast to move through the area. According to officials, the storm line is expected to travel across parts of the I-88 corridor toward Binghamton and most of northeast Pennsylvania between 8 PM and 10 PM EDT. The storms have a history of producing damaging winds, which could result in trees and power lines being blown down. The severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 10 PM EDT.
