The Watkins Glen Central School District Drone Soccer Team finished in fourth place at the GST BOCES Drone Soccer Team Championship held Saturday at the GST BOCES Coopers Gym. The double-elimination tournament served as the official seeding event for advancement in the U.S. Drone Soccer competitive circuit and drew top programs from across the region.

During the tournament, the team competed in four matches. They secured wins against STEM (24–16, 20–10) and Campbell‑Savona (21–13, 21–12). Losses were recorded against Bath (18–26, 21–26) and Spencer‑Van Etten (24–20, 37–17).

With a fourth place finish overall in the championship standings, the team is seeded fourth for the upcoming qualifying tournament at Corning Middle School on February 7th. The qualifying tournament will determine which school programs advance to the Division II U.S. Drone Soccer Championship, scheduled to take place on March 8th at SUNY Polytechnic in Verona, New York.

Teams that perform well at the Division II level will have an opportunity to represent the region at the U.S. National Drone Soccer Championship, which is set for May 18–19 at Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.
