Thunderstorms Bring Gusty Winds to NY, PA

A special weather statement was issued at 7:20 p.m. EDT on July 7 by the National Weather Service in Binghamton, New York. According to the statement, a broken band of thunderstorms will move through northeast Pennsylvania into parts of east central New York. The storms are expected to produce brief gusty winds up to 40 mph until around 9:00 p.m. The areas potentially affected include Otsego, Delaware, Susquehanna, northern Wayne, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne, and southern Wayne counties.
